Well, haven't had a chance to write about my new deviantID, me and Obama, and I'm not going to write about it right now. Too much to tell, that will come at some point in the next couple of weeks.

Trying to stay dry for the entire day is becoming difficult. Lightning is a daily occurance as we approach monsoon season. Photos to come sooner than later.

Just a short update for today-- I've realized I really don't shoot a lot of stills anymore, and it saddens me. I went to find my charger, and I think I might have left it in California =\ we'll see if it turns up or not. Video is photography, and I love doing it, but to me it lacks the everlasting power of simply capturing the "moment" and nothing more. Still photography gives me magic that video simply cannot create. This is, of course, only a personal view and I do not discredit the power of the moving picture...

Work has been interesting this week. On Sunday, we managed to restore trash service to hundreds out in Sandoval County; today, managed to sort out a neighborhood's problems with the local police. All in a few days' work, I suppose, always trying to do this job for the greater good, even if it damn near kills me.

Last, my best friend Michelle is coming to visit either tomorrow or Thursday. She's the girl in "Urban Siblings" from Boston. So something to look forward to, it's always nice to have someone close stop by for some lunch and maybe a few drinks after work! She'll be stopping by the station to talk to my news director as well (she's majoring in broadcast journalism...poor thing!
